Deuba sea kayaking and snorkeling:Breakfast at Korovisilou
Our stable, two-person sea kayaks provide the ideal vessel with which to explore Fiji's beautiful coastline. We begin our ½-day journey near the mouth of the Deuba River where we are acquainted with our craft before heading out to sea. En route, we will explore the mangrove forests that thrive in these coastal waters. As we paddle through these unusual forests, we'll keep a sharp lookout for local denizens that call this unique ecosystem home. Mud lobsters, herons, harrier hawks, king fishers, and fruit bats inhabit this area, which many refer to as "The Ocean's Nursery." Here amongst the "dread-locked" root systems of the mangrove forest, some of the ocean's fauna reside until they are large enough to fend for themselves in the azure waters of Beqa Lagoon. Following lunch, we set our course for the open ocean where we search for coral gardens and the kaleidoscope of tropical fish that make this saltwater oasis their home. Our final leg will take us along the sandy beaches of Pacific Harbour where we can relax beneath the shade of a palm tree and recount the memories of our coastal sojourn. Take transport to your next village or hotel - or return to Korovisilou (F$70 per day per adult) |

| Day Two Kayaking Naiseuseu |
Deuba sea kayaking and snorkeling:Breakfast at Korovisilou
This incredible journey begins with passage across Rovodrau Bay and Beqa Passage to the protected waters of Beqa Island. En route, we enjoy spectacular views of Vitu Levu's mist-shrouded, mountainous interior and palm-fringed coastline. Following a hearty lunch, we head for Malumu Bay, where we sea kayak deep into the cliff-lined interior and visit Lawaqalevu Island, where hundreds of fruit bats cling to the surrounding trees like overripe fruit. Tides permitting, we paddle to the apparent end of the bay only to continue through a secret mangrove tunnel that leads to the great blue sea. Here, views of Kadavu, more snorkeling, island exploration and peaceful paddling fill the remainder of the afternoon. We conclude our journey by riding the waves and chasing the setting sun back to the mainland. A gentle sea breeze and a colorful sunset conclude a full day of fun, making an exploration of Beqa Island and beyond a rewarding and memorable experience along Fiji's adventure coast. Please note that the actual sequence of the trip and elements included are subject to tidal fluctuations. Hang up your heels at the Village of Naiseuseu on Beqa Island |

Whitewater Rafting on Inflatable Kayaks in Namosi Highlands
Our journey through this idyllic countryside eventually leads us to the Wainikoroiluva River where we take charge of our own inflatable kayaks. After a brief training session, we are off to face the Class II whitewater and rock mazes of the 'Luva. Whether you're experiencing a good old-fashioned water fight, a rejuvenating dip beneath a waterfall, a picnic lunch in a garden grotto or the thrill of whitewater in your own inflatable kayak, we are sure that this portion of your journey will keep you entertained and yearning for more. At the confluence of the 'Luva and Navua rivers, we board motorized longboats for the remainder of our trip to the village of Namuamua. We are afforded views of cascading waterfalls, lush rainforest, village life, and an occasional glimpse of the harrier hawk, fruit bat, kingfisher, parrot and heron that make this canyon their home. That night stay at the village of Namuamua - nestled between the junction of two great inland rivers. |
