Today Tonight above the law - breach copyright to get a story
Dear Scott,
It's been a long time since our last contact. Anyway, Today Tonight have again screwed up. This time it's intellectual property theft and breach of copyright. Unbeknown to them, I have been the victim again, although unlike last time, it wasn't an attempt by those fools to personally smear me rather it was by coincidence.
One of my hobbies is urban exploration. Essentially, this involves exploring drains, tunnels, bunkers and abandonements. In fact, I have an urban exploration group and we have a website. A section of the website consists of a photo gallery. In order to attain content for their story the Today Tonight producers/reporters (whoever) ripped pictures out of the gallery to use in their program. Funnily enough none of those where credited to us. Our group was never contacted about using our photos. We have a forum, which anyone can join, so it would have been very easy to join and ask permission. Permission would have been granted. Alternatively, if it was so difficult for them to take that step, then they could have at least referenced/sourced their photographic content. They did neither.
Anyway, just so you can see for yourself, one of our members taped the program for evidence.
Whilst watching that keep this page open and see how many similarities you can find
Also check this and note the similarities. This is one of our movies
Yours sincerely,
Peter Solanikow.
