In the South Pacific there is an exotic land blessed with a beautiful people, unspoilt forests and pristine seas.
This land, Fiji, is made up of many islands where the welcome is "Bula" and village life is based on community and clans.
The music on this CD was recorded live in four Fijian villages, villages that participate in Fijian Village Homestays.
They are: Namatakula, Naroro, Namuamua and Naiseuseu
This music has not been recorded in a studio, it has been recorded in the villages - around the campfire, in churches with no paint on the walls and at the kava bowl. It is beautiful, haunting and romantic music sung by the choirs and bands who's sound is all too often lost to the traveller - even when they visit Fiji.
